Complete guide to finding and completing all shrines in Tears of the Kingdom.

Shrine Basics

Shrines in Tears of the Kingdom work similarly to those in Breath of the Wild, but with new mechanics and puzzles. Each shrine contains:

  • A unique puzzle or combat challenge
  • A Light of Blessing (increases heart containers or stamina)
  • Sometimes special weapons or armor

Great Sky Island Shrines

These are the first shrines you'll encounter:

  1. In-Isa Shrine: Located near the Temple of Time ruins. Teaches basic Ultrahand mechanics.
  2. Ukouh Shrine: Found in the Forest of Spirits. Focuses on using Ascend ability.
  3. Nachoyah Shrine: In the northern area of the island. Introduces Fuse ability.

Central Hyrule Shrines

After leaving the Great Sky Island, these shrines are relatively accessible:

  1. Jiosin Shrine: Northeast of Lookout Landing. Involves rotating platforms.
  2. Susuyai Shrine: Near Hyrule Castle. Requires careful use of Ultrahand.
  3. Mayachin Shrine: South of Lookout Landing. Tests your combat skills.
